First things first… some business. The winner of the $25 Amazon e-gift certificate is mangiabella! Congrats! Please email me to claim your e-gift certificate.
So, 2 On Tuesday is on! Please come and link up. The wonderfully talented Jenn from Munchkin Land Designs is working on a button, but it is not quite ready yet. Soon!
Here’s how the 2 On Tuesday linky party will work:
- I’ll give you a topic on Monday, in case you want to write your post ahead of time.
- Be sure to link back to My Chihuahua Bites in your post. Please also include the button when it is ready!
- I’ll have the post ready for you to link up at midnight on Tuesday.
- Link to your specific blog post, not to your blog.
- Please visit at least three other people who link up! Remember, the purpose of any linky party is to share your blog and visit others’ blogs.
I know this is common sense to most of you, but I wanted to explain how it works for those who have never done a linky party. ![]()
This week’s topic will be your TWO FAVORITE THINGS ABOUT FALL.
Cool beans! Link up or else! ![]()

Three day weekends don’t quite hold the same attraction that they did when I was working, but I am enjoying having Jason home with us for a few days. On Saturday, we woke up early and went to a furniture auction. 90 degree temps + outside + huge crowd = not a good time. I guess I was expecting something different… I thought it would be inside a building, and we’d bid on items one at a time. Instead, you stood outside by a moving truck. The owners unloaded the furniture, and as it was unloaded, it was first come, first served. There were quite a few pickers there (people who buy furniture and then rehab it, selling it for a higher price) so they jumped on anything remotely nice that came off the truck. Jason and I didn’t stand a chance.
We dropped Cooper off at my parents house and resumed furniture shopping. We’re looking for a small desk we can put in the sitting area off our bedroom. I love furniture shopping… I just get a bad case of the iwantas and icanthaveas. Needlessly to say, it was an unsuccessful shopping trip. However, we did score our first pumpkin spice lattes of the season, so it wasn’t a total waste of morning!
After a afternoon of reading and napping, I got ready for date night. It’s such a rare occasion these days that I get dressed up, so I made Jason pose for some pictures. I broke out the tripod and everything! Our neighbors must have thought we were fools, running back and forth to catch the timer and see if the picture turned out.
Jason has an annoying habit of putting his hand on my stomach in any and all pictures. No, I’m not pregnant. Thanks, babe, for pointing out that I look like I am.
Today we picked up the Coops and went out to eat with my parents. We spent the afternoon napping (Cooper), reading (me), and watching football (Jason). Now I’m planning on a evening of Big Brother, red velvet cake, and more reading.
What did you do this weekend?
I hope you enjoy your Labor Day tomorrow! See you on Tuesday!

When I first realized it was a 3-day weekend, my first thought was, "What am I going to do with my husband at home??" I'm a (mostly) SAHW and am used to being home alone with the dogs until at least 4PM.
We've spent the weekend watching movies and hanging around the house. Today we did a little bit of shopping for the baby/nursery and tomorrow we're working on our bathroom. Otherwise I'm prepping our cloth diapers. It's the first time I've been excited about doing laundry. haha!
You look so pretty in red!! When I first saw the picture I did have the thought that maybe you were pregnant!! ha!!
I am glad you're doing a Tuesday linky party! I've been a bad a blogger and need to get back into the swing of blogging again and this will help not to mention I LOVE Fall!!
This sounds like a fun linky party! I will definitely be there tomorrow!
Aw, how nice that you got to have a date night!
I get that same bad case when I go clothes shopping. I have to remind myself, it's get rid of the debt first, then I can have all the clothes I want.
Glad to have found another SC girl!! I am in Charleston! Jealous of your Edisto trip!!
