Dear Cooper,
On June 14th, 2010 you turned 5 months old. You are such a little man! Your dad and I can’t believe how much you grow each and every day. We are so excited about all the ways you are learning and developing each day.
You weigh about 16 pounds this month. You’ve gained two pounds! You drink 8 ounce bottles every 4 hours. You’ve tried a bunch of different baby foods, although you don’t eat baby food every single day. You like apples, pears, bananas, carrots, peas, and sweet potatoes. You do not like prunes or rice cereal. You love it when I slice up a bit of banana and put it in your mesh feeder to eat. You cry for more when you’re done!
You have mastered the art of rolling over. You love tummy time now! You still love your play mat, but you aren’t crazy about the exersaucer. You still love to watch Baby Einstein videos, and sometimes you watch Handy Manny and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse in the mornings while I get ready for work.
You chew on everything and anything you can get your hands on. You love to play with your feet, and your hands are always in your mouth. If you could manage it, you would have your hand and foot in your mouth at the same time!
We stopped swaddling you this month. You were fussing when I tried to wrap you up and busting out of the swaddle during the night, so we decided you were ready to sleep without it. As soon as we stopped swaddling you, you started sleeping on your stomach.
You had your first trip to the beach this month! We spent a couple of days at Edisto with our family and friends. You had a great time and got lots of attention.
Your daddy and I love to sing “Toes” to you, and that weekend you got to live it!

We love you so much, Cooper bear. I can’t imagine what our lives would be like without you.
