More Flower Power

I had so much fun sharing my hair flower tutorial that I wanted to show you want else I came up with.

DSC01997

These were so much fun to make. The picture doesn’t do it justice. I sprayed these flowers with spray adhesive, showered them with glitter, and them used sealant to make sure the glitter would stick.

These two are a mishmash of flowers. The bottoms came from one flower and the tops from another. I just mixed and matched until I found something I loved.

Whereas the smaller flowers only have one piece of plastic at the back, larger flowers have little bits of plastic between the layers to keep the petals upright and fluffy. Don’t remove all the plastic pieces because your flowers will wilt. Trust me – I learned this the hard way.

Some flowers were so pretty that I just kept them intact and added clips to the back.

Be creative! Some of these I made my myself, and some where for my cousin’s little girl. I use smaller flowers for children and larger flowers for adults. Take apart the flowers and mix and match. Paint the flowers. Add sparkles and beads. This project is so easy, and you can really customize to make it match any look.

If you try this at home, be sure to come back and show me your results!

I could not pull off the flower in my hair. But you rock it so well. I love your own twist on it and the fact that you make it your own! Kudos!

I've gotta tell you, I would love to wear flowers in my hair, but I just don't think I could pull it off. First of all, most days I don't even bother doing my hair or wearing makeup. The times I do though, I can't imagine it looking good on me like it does you. Hmph.
