Friend Makin’ Mondays

friend makin monday for post

Today I’m participating in Friend Makin’ Mondays, hosted by Amber at {aefilkins}. Today’s topic:

What are your hobbies? What do you wish you knew how to do?

Let’s start with my hobbies, shall we?

I love to read. The oh-so-generous husband bought my a Kindle for my birthday, and I’m just devouring whatever books I can get my hands on. I average about 5 books a week.

I also love to cook. I wish I had more time to cook and bake but I guess my waistline is better off only enjoying oreo truffles once per year.

I love crafting! I also love obnoxiously big flowers in my hair, by the way. Tutorial coming later this week!

I love to play dress up with my chihuahuas. Do they like it? Not so much, but it brings me and the husband great joy.

What do I wish I knew how to do?

Sew! I’ve actually signed up for a 6 week class at Hancock Fabrics that starts in two weeks. I’ll let you know how it goes!

I have secret aspirations of becoming a makeup artist, and I wish I had more practice and experience at applying makeup to other people.

I wish I knew how to knit! I’d love to be able to make blankets and scarves.

How about you – what are your hobbies? What do you wish you knew how to do?

You and I are a lot alike. I love to bake, cook, read, and blog (of course). I knit like it's going out of style and just finished a quilt that a friend bribed me to do for her. :-)

You're going to laugh at me... but I'm contemplating getting my canine massage certification!

I wish I could read 5 books a week! I love to read but don't pack nearly as much away as I'd like. I wish I could paint & draw! Maybe one day I will take a class, but I'm worried I'll be the only talentless one in the room. lol!

I'd also love to be able to dance. In the privacy of my bedroom, I think I am not *that* bad, until I accompanied a girlfriend to her hip hop class. That's where I learned I have zero coordination and even less memory for dance steps.

I knit, try to crochet and cross stitch... but I'm soo off and on with it that I haven't finished a project in a while.

Those oreo truffles look so good! I have heard so many blogers say that they wished they could knit - it's too bad we couldn't start a ladies knitting group.

LOVE your blog. Seriously. & Love your list~ you can practice putting makeup on me whenever you want! {One little problem~ I live in TX. :(} I can't wait to see how your sewing class goes. Sounds like fun! I'll be a Follower :)

You should try makeup. It never really appealed to me to do other's makeup, but my girls love it. I have done makeup a few times for other models for photos & it's surprisingly easy.

You should SO take up knitting! I have a web show on MomTV where I teach knitting! Knitting is so relaxing.. I LOVE it. I wish I could sew.. I actually sewed my sleeve to a project once. Oh well.. I also wish I could do makeup like you can.. I'm all thumbs. :)

My Chihuahua Bites
My Photo
Hi, I'm Andrea, and welcome to my blog! I am a 31 year old sassy southern momma to a beautiful baby boy. I'm also a social worker, and my husband is a submariner in the US Navy. I have two very loved and spoiled chihuahuas, who are featured frequently in this blog. In case you are wondering - no, they don't bite! I got the inspiration for the name of my blog from an OPI nail polish called My Chihuahua Bites. Please check back often and be sure to leave a comment so that I can visit your blog as well. Thanks for visiting!
