Hey, y’all! Happy Tuesday! You know the drill – if you have a recipe you would like to share, link up. Mr. Linky has been on the fritz for the past few weeks, so if you don’t see him at the bottom of this post, just link up in the comments.
Andrea’s copykat recipe for Hardee’s Strawberry Biscuits
My husband loves Hardee’s Strawberry Biscuits. They just quit making them, so I knew I had to figure out a DIY version I could make at home. These are simple and are super tasty! They make a great Saturday breakfast.
Ingredients:
- Mary B’s strawberry biscuits (found in the frozen foods isle – but if you can’t find these, just use regular frozen or refrigerated biscuits… or make your own!)
- Strawberry jam
- 1/2 stick of butter, melted
- 4 tablespoons of milk
- 4 cups of powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla
Cook biscuits according to package directions. While they are cooking, prepare icing.
Combine butter, milk, powdered sugar, and vanilla and whisk until no lumps remain. This makes a ton of icing – if you are only making a few biscuits, cut the recipe in half.
*Tip: Pour your icing in a zip lock baggie. When you are ready to ice the biscuits, snip off a corner of the baggie and drizzle.
Once your biscuits are ready, top with strawberry jam. Be generous!
Drizzle with icing. Again, be generous!
Yum! This, my friends, is a classic Southern breakfast: eggs, a sweet, and some sliced tomatoes with salt and pepper. I’m hungry just looking at it.
What’s cooking, ladies?
