Happy Monday, y’all! It sure was hard to leave the beach yesterday, but I’m happy to be home and be back in a routine. Jason and I have either had company or been traveling for the past several weekends, so our house is a mess and there is tons of stuff to do. Isn’t that the worst part about returning from vacation? No fun!
Today I’m participating in Friend Makin’ Mondays, hosted by Kasey at All That Is Good. Today’s topic is:
Share as few or as many everyday, little tips that you use to make your lives easier. You know- all those special tricks you might have to cook, clean, raise kids, work in the yard, and on and on!
I’m feeling a little uninspired today so I’m reposting an old tip. It’s an oldie but goodie. I hope you enjoy!
I read about this on one of my message boards. The topic was tarts and oil burners, and someone shared that the best their house has ever smelled was when they put a tart into a tuna can and set it on a candle warmer. I had to try it, and man, it works! The smell is so much stronger than when I use my tart warmers (but the tart warmers sure are prettier!). I think I will use these before my company arrives - my own version of the Glade candle commercial. Try it and let me know what you think.
***This goes without saying, but of course you must clean out the tuna clean thoroughly. Don't forget this important step, or your results will not be quite the same. ;)***
How about you – what little tips or tricks do you use to make your life easier?

Great idea! :) Thanks for the reminder about cleaning the tin because y'all know, i'm the one who would forget and the entire house woudl smell of tuna! LOL
Cinnamon tuna...not so friendly!
this is a good idea, I may give it a try.
Welcome back!
Cinnamon Tuna! Shawn's so right! Ha. I will have to try this sometime! Glad you're back.
hmmm...great idea! I have to go and dig up my candle warmer now.
Glad you had a great time at the beach- that sounds wonderful right now!!

Sounds like a great idea! =D
I try to plan out my day and what I am going to do. Or any projects I may have to do for the week. Make my list and cross of as I go. I guess my tip or trick is just to take it day by day and have my list in hand.
That is a great tip. I'd love to hear the stories about how people find these tips out.
I think I must be slow, but what is a tart? Like a pop tart or what?! and I know you're laughing at me right now!, but that's okay.
Ooohh I have to try that! I prefer tart burners over your regular candle because they seem more fragrant! I'll have to try that if it's even BETTER!!
Welcome back! Thanks for the tip and for the clarification about cleaning out the tin -- I just kept wondering how many cats would show up on your doorstep looking for some yummy tuna!
I'm glad you had a nice vacation! It must have been so hard to leave the beach. I hate the feeling of coming home to house cleaning and work. I can definitely relate.
This is a great tip that I wouldn't have thought of in a million years. I must run out and buy a cheap candle warmer!
I am so excited about this idea, I can't wait to try it. I love having a good smelling house, but I don't like to burn candles as much since I had a baby.
