Hello all! I hope everyone is doing well this holiday weekend. I wanted to say a quick THANK YOU to all of the men and women who have served or are serving in the Armed Forces. You are appreciated!
To my husband, a proud submariner in the US Navy: You do a job that few would voluntarily do. You endure harsh conditions and many lonely nights and days away from your loved ones – all in the name of service to your country. I appreciate you, and I love you.
I’m woefully behind in my blog reading and visiting due to my blog hiatus. There’s a reason for that, and I’ll hopefully share the details soon. I apologize that I haven’t been around to visit your blogs. I hope to get back to normal this week.
Today I’m participating in Today’s Thrifty Treasures, hosted by Rhoda at Southern Hospitality. Rhoda has invited us all to share or yard sale treasures or thrift store finds. I’ve found some gems at Goodwill in the past couple of weeks!
My most exciting find, my far, was an 8 piece place setting of this beautiful white china. Check out the details – it is bordered by fleur de lis! The whole set was only $3.00!
This may not look like much right now, but with some spray paint and imagination, the items will be beautiful! You all know I’m crazy about wreaths, and behind the silver tray are two brand new straw wreaths ($1). The silver tray is going to get a makeover with chalkboard paint, and the baskets will look amazing with a fresh coat of paint. I’ve even got something in mind for the frame!
I don’t have a picture, but I also picked up a Scene It game for $4.00.
How about you – what have you found recently?
