Name 5 toys that remind you of your childhood.
I loved the game Mouse Trap! It was so elaborate and fun.
Old school Nintendo – is there anything better? I loved me some Donkey Kong and I’m pretty skilled at Super Mario Brothers, if I do say so myself. I’d also like to give out a shout out to Atari – Frogger and Centipede got me through some lonely nights.
Glowworms are one of those toys you just have to have, only to lose interest in five minutes after you tear open the wrapping. Still, I loved my little green friend. I went through an unfortunate period (thanks to seeing a preview of a Chuckie movie) where I was convinced my baby dolls were going to come to life and kill me. Mr. Glowworm provided some much needed illumination when I suspected my dolls were planning a coup.
Who doesn’t love Light Bright? Only I’m not as skilled as the budding artist who created this masterpiece. I’m more of a Picasso than a Monet. My creations were usually missing noses and ears. **And my Barbies immediately lost their hair and at least one of their limbs. I was a little bloodthirsty, what can I say?**
Let’s Go Fishing is another game I loved. Here’s a little tidbit of information you probably don’t want to know: I gave this game to Jason for our first Valentine’s Day. He likes to fish, and I decided to make him an adult version of Let’s Go Fishing. Try it – if you husband has a childhood game he loves, be creative and update it to a romantic version. Thank me later!
How about you – what were your favorite childhood toys?

My 18 month old has a glow worm...a little bit smaller than the "vintage" glow worm. I remember those commercials.

Ooh, I LOVED mousetrap! Except we never played by the actual rules. We just took 9 years to set it up, then dropped the littl marble thing and watched it work!
I loved lite brite too!
I love you, girl! You seriously crack me up. The comment about your dolls planning a coup made me laugh out load. People at work probably think I'm crazy!
I loved some old school Nintendo. There was nothing better than the original Mario Bros.
I played Nintendo in Junior high- I 'm feelin old here. I rocked at Super Mario brothers. The other day my oldest made me play it on her DS and it all came back to me. I was her "hero" that day....she was mighty impressed with her momma's Super Mario Brothers skills!!!
Have a super week!

I loved my glowworm as well. :) He is a classic for sure!!
Oh, I forgot about the Light Bright! Loved that toy. I remember mom getting a bit upset when she stepped on the little pegs we left out.
Enjoyed your list!

My Little Ponies, Strawberry Shortcake, Winnie the Pooh, Rainbow Bright and Lady Lovlilocks!
And Barbie. I was OBSESSEEEEEEEEDDDDD. Not as bad as my little ponies though!
The light bright takes me back! I honestly do not remember playing with much. My sister will back me on this... we do not know where the toys went?? I guess my mom did not like junk around?
Maybe... this is why I am warped
I loved my Glo worm!! I miss it.. BTW Check out my blog, you were tagged!
A romantic Let Go Fishin' Hmmm that could be interesting!
Love all your toys but it does prove that you are much younger than me! I bought my niece her first glow worm, dang I'm like the freaking Crypt Keeper!
Great list. Let's Go Fishin' was one of my favorite games too!

Love the fishin' game!!! I want to go buy one right now!! What a fun list, my baby has a glow-worm now, she loves it!!!
Cute List!!! I loved babydolls, Barbies, and I sure loved my Light Bright. My sister and I would put all the pegs in, then go into the closet and turn it on. It was so exciting. Those were the days.
We actually got a mousetrap game for Christmas one year and I loved playing the game! Seeing that little mouse get trapped in that yellow cage was such a hoot. Brings back lots of memories. Great list!!
Cool list! I loved all of those things, growing up. Especially my glow worm. Mine was green. Ah, the memories!
Oh I loved the Light Brite!! It was so much fun, especially when we had new sheets. My favorite toy though... Barbie, my sister and I would spend hours playing with them.
I'd love to play a game of Super Mario Brother right now. We have a Super Mario game on the Wii, but it's just not the same! Light Brite's were so cool! Isaiah has one and I love to play with his. Great list!
Light Brites and Mouse Trap! You're a girl after my own heart!
