Tuesdays at the Table

Andrea's Tues at the Table Red Gingham copy

I am so excited about all the participation in the TATT posts the past few weeks! I hope you’ve been taking the time to visit all the other blogs that link up, because we’ve had some incredible recipes posted. Next week I’m going to be doing a “Best of Tuesdays at the Table” post so you may very well see your recipe featured.

If you are a regular visitor, you know how this works. If you aren’t, here’s a little run down on what Tuesdays at the Table is and how you can join in on the fun:

To participate, simply create a food-related post: a recipe, a food tip, a tutorial, a product review - anything food related! Be sure to link back to My Chihuahua Bites! in your post so that your readers know where they can come to join the party.

Once your blog is posted, come back to this post and sign in with Mr. Linky. Please make sure that you are linking to your TATT post and NOT to your blog. I have had people complain that they can’t find your posts when they click on your link, and this is because you link to your blog and not to your post. If someone comes by later in the week and wants to visit you, they have a harder time finding your featured recipe.

Two weeks ago, K from Sprouts and Sparkles linked up with a recipe for Tortellini Alfredo. It sounded absolutely delicious, and I decided to make it for dinner that night. When it was time to cook, I spied a jar of alfredo sauce in my pantry and the recipe just kind of evolved. This was so incredibly yummy – the husband and I couldn’t believe how tasty it was.

Andrea’s “I Don’t Know What To Call This” Tortellini with Alfredo Sauce

DSC01686

  • One jar alfredo sauce
  • Parmesan cheese
  • One package sausage
  • Tortellini pasta (I used box, but you can use fresh or frozen as well)
  • One can of diced tomatoes, drained well
  • One small can of sliced olives, drained
  • One jar of artichoke hearts, drained

Cook sausage and set aside to drain. Wipe down the same skillet (no need for more than one dirty pan!) and pour in alfredo sauce. I always add cream, parmesan cheese, and spices to my alfredo sauce (or I make my homemade version) to spice it up, but you can skip this step if you like. Let the alfredo simmer while the tortellini cooks. Add in the sausage, diced tomatoes, olives, and artichoke hearts. Once the tortellini is cooked, add the pasta to the sauce and stir well. Top with a generous sprinkle of parmesan cheese.

Serve this with a side salad and garlic bread and you have a tasty meal!

What’s cooking, ladies?

That looks amazing! Too bad we don't eat that stuff anymore. That's what happen when hubby loses 90+ pounds and everyone else in the family needs to get "healthy". Yay, yay life at our kitchen table really sucks!

I will make this soon for one of our cheat meals because I love everything in this! YUM-AY!

Black olives, right?

I love me some tortellini. I think I was supposed to be Italian or something. This girl loves her pasta!

Beef stir-fry over at my place today.

I made your s'more brownies for a party this weekend - huge hit! Nate was all sad because there were only a few left over. I'm lucky if he usually eats one brownie out of the tray but now he's already asking if I can make yours for our company this weekend!
