Update: They were unable to revive him, and he passed away last night. Thank you for your prayers.
I don’t usually get super personal here on my blog, but I am tonight.
My parents arrived today to visit for the weekend. We were all getting ready for bed when my cousin called. I knew right away something was wrong because people just don’t call with good news late at night.
My uncle has had a heart attack. When I spoke with my cousin, the paramedics had arrived and had been doing CPR for 45 minutes. He’s being transported to the hospital now. There has been no declaration of death – that we know of.
Please pray for my uncle, Mark Lewis. Please pray for my family, in particular my grandparents, who aren’t in the best of health. Someone is on their way right now to let them know what has happened.
Please pray for my mother and father, who left immediately to join the rest of the family at home. Jason and I will be traveling tomorrow as soon as he gets off work.
Please pray for the paramedics, doctors, and hospital staff as they work to heal my uncle. If it is God’s will that my uncle join him in Heaven, pray for understanding and acceptance for us all.

Oh, I am so sorry for your loss! What an amazing attitude you have. He is no longer in pain and in the place we all hope to be one day...it's just the "getting" to that place that is so hard on our loved ones.

Hey Andrea,
I am so sorry about your Uncle. When things happened unexpectedly it really does throw you for a loop.I lost my sister on Dec 30th and it's been awful, she would have been 40 years old this April 25th. We still dont' have her autopsy results as cause of death. I will be praying for you and your family.
