You may have noticed that I haven’t been around to visit your blogs this week. If you’ve left me a comment and I haven’t been to visit your blog this week, I apologize. This week has been crazy! I’ve had work and some other important appointments during the day, and then at night I’ve been trying to finish up some projects and get ready for company this weekend. I’ve decided Monday will be my day to do whatever I want – and that includes coming by your blogs! Again, I apologize for my tardiness. I don’t want anyone thinking I’m being stuck up and just not responding, because it hurts my feelings when other bloggers do that to me. I certainly don’t want to be a hypocrite and do it to you!
***I’m looking for some decorating ideas for the towel rack in my bathroom. How do you display your towels? Do you have “don’t touch” towels or do you actually use your towel rack to hang and dry your towels? I have hooks on the back of my door for the towels we use everyday, but I want the towel rack to be more decorative. Did you jazz up your towels in some way? If so, could you take a picture and email it to me? If you have pictures on your blog, please leave the link in the comments. I would appreciate any ideas!***
I think this is the first time in a long time that I’ve actually had my holiday decorations up a few weeks before the actual day. I’m usually racing around the week before the holiday, trying to get everything gussied up. Then the decor inevitably sticks around for a few weeks AFTER the holiday because a) it just went up three days before and b) I’m lazy.
Not this Easter! This year I’m prepared. It’s also the first year I’ve decorated for Easter. I found some cute stuff and though I’d share with you.
I change out my hurricane glasses to fit the holiday. For Christmas, I added cranberries, and for Valentine’s Day, conversation hearts. This is just the filler for Easter baskets. **If you borrow my idea, don’t light your candles. That’s a fire waiting to happen.**
Here’s a little bunny I got from Pier One. He’s hiding in my stainless steel utensil holder, and he’s also kicking it in my table centerpiece. I’ve seen some other bloggers do some cute, cute stuff with these moss bunnies. It would make an adorable topiary!
The miniature vases are from Wal-Mart – three for $2. The birds are from Michael’s.
These cutie patooties are from Pier One. Glittery chicks – you know I was all over that. They’re hanging out on the ledge above my microwave.
I also purchased the chick’s cousin, Mr. Glittery Bunny, from Pier One. Love it! They remind me of Peeps. I stuck them in one of my apothecary jars.
This salt and pepper shaker set, which came in the nest, is from Target. I think it was about $5.00, if I remember correctly. I stuck a little butterfly in, just because. I have no idea if they would actually hang in nest, but who’s trying to be accurate? Not me.
The egg cups and eggs, which are actually candles, are also from Target. I got that cute little sign from Target. It says “And they lived happily ever after.”
I had a fit when I saw these chocolate bunnies popping up in pictures all over blogland. Oh my goodness, they look like the real thing! I found the bunny on the left at Tuesday Morning. It was chipped and they took 10% off because of it. I painted it and you could never tell. The bunnies on the right are from Big Lots, and the one in the middle is from TJ Maxx. Cutest thing ever!
I have no idea what to call these, but I love them. It looks like they are wrapped in painted tin foil. I walked around TJMaxx with the Mister in my cart for ages, and then had to go back for the Missus. It looks like they are courting, does it not?
I actually purchased these a
apothecary jars from Sam’s Club a few months ago. They came in a three pack for $30.00. I thought that was a steal! The apothecary jar in the middle holds a bunny and some easter basket grass. The other jars have a little bit of Dollar Store moss, and painted eggs from TJMaxx and Target. The eggs from Target are actually candles.
The bunny is also from TJMaxx – I got her for a steal because her right foot is broken. Girlfriend needs to practice better posture, doesn’t she?
I got this bunny from Michael’s, and he’s sitting on a little moss, surrounded by painted eggs from TJ Maxx and Target.
Remember in Friday’s post, when I said I would be working on an Easter wreath this weekend? Well, here’s the finished project. I hate it. I would have tossed it (total cost: $3.00) but the husband made a special trip to Wal-Mart to get the ribbon for me, so up it went. I think it might get lost in the garage after Easter, though. What a bummer.
Do you decorate for Easter?
Where did you get your decor?

I'm loving all your Easter decorations. For the first time in years, I didn't go all out.
In fact, my family is going out to dinner for Easter! Don't worry Thanksgiving and Christmas were ginormous. :-)
Oh, and when you have a second...swing by! I'm kicking off my very first give away!!
Decorate for Easter? Heck, I'm lucky to get the Christmas decorating done! Maybe once we finally get moved into the new house, that will change. ;)
First....I forgive you for not stopping by! ;-)
Second.... I love the foil bunnies!
Third.....No one here decorates for Easter so there is no where to get decorations! So sad!
I love the wreath, very creative!
xoxo
Oh Andrea don't throw that away its so cute. How did you do it? Your house looks so very festive!
I love all your Easter Decor! I struggle in this area currently. My fav was your jars and the glitter bunny! I also LIKE the wreath! It turned out way cute don't toss it!
Love your decorations! I just relaized I haven't even pulled my decorations out yet..OOPS!
Maybe we will skip the decorations this year :(
We have missed you- get back on board soon! ;0)
Your decorations look great. Have have been obsessed with a baby's nursery, that I completely forgot about decorating this year for Easter. Bad Momma!!
I have tagged you in a bloggin game. Head on over to my latest entry to learn more about it. I know you are super busy now, but hopefully on Monday you can play!!
Happy Easter!
Becca
Your Easter decorations are SO cute! I love all the bunnies!
Right now I don't have a lot of decor for Easter. I have two little ones that can reach nearly every surface. Maybe I will have to build up my supply so I will have some when they are older.
nice! Now come over and do that to my house. I have one little spot decorated and NO WREATH! I know that last part bothers you, but it will be OK.
I love your glittery chicks and your chocolate bunnies! I didn't do much Easter decorating this year; just a few Spring things. But I sure am enjoying all the pretties in Blogland!
Your decorations are so cute! We are still in the hotel room so no decor here. But for Easter, I don't usually decorate. I'm not sure why? I actually have probably four bins of Christmas decorations and don't want to add to that chaos. We move way too often for me to have super cute things that may get broken or lost. But I wish!
I think everything looks nice. Those bunnies look like real chocolate. But they are not? I love your wreath I think it turned out just fine. I have some of my things up. I got stuff from Good will, my mom, and other people. I hope you have a fun time with your company. The towel rack thing. I just have mine hung up in my bathroom on a hook. In my little one's bathroom I have a holder that holds the towels.
Those are great decorations!! I love the non chocolate, chocolate bunnies!!
I've been behind in the comments too, I'm trying to play catch up today, before it gets too bad... I would like to think that it happens to everyone at some point.. you know life getting in the way ;)
I LOVE all your decorations!
We decorate at my house, just little things here and there. I usually get my stuff at Target or Michaels.
:)
Everything is so cute! I don't decorate for Easter. I am a holiday scrooge...lol!
Your decorations look fabulous! Love them!!!! I'm so jealous of your foil covered bunnies!
I love the yummy Easter decorations! Too cute.
I found a new blog www.craftfail.com where you can post about your failed craft projects (or just look at others). I know I've had lots of fails!
For someone who's decorating her first Easter you sure do have a ton of stuff! It all looks great girl.
I too decorate for Easter but for some reason don't like it this year. Crazy, it's the same stuff as last year, maybe I'm just being a brat because the budget didn't allow for anything new this year!
No hurt feelings here sistah, enjoy your break!
I don't really decorate too much, just adding some lilies and stuff. Gorgeous decorations though!

Your decorations are so cute! I made a little front door thing this year using two giant twig easter eggs tied with ribbon. I think I might post about it tomorrow. I don't have tons of Easter decorations. I need to get/make more.
XOXO

Your decorations are adorable Andrea. I love them all. I didnt decorate this year. I'm a scrooge I guess, LOL. Seems like I just got the Christmas stuff away so I didn't feel like pulling the Easter crap out. Anyway, your decorations look great!!
I love the foil bunnies and the "chocolate" guys too.
I also like your wreath very much. But if I had to guess what you don't like about it is that it is near perfect in its symmetry: the eggs are perfectly spaced (both for distance and color)until the missing pink egg at the bottom right, which is balanced by the bow across from it. It's perfectly balanced. If you add more eggs or have them be all one color, I think you'd like it more.
However, I like it and am wondering if I have time to try one before Sunday...
Cute Cute Cute!!! I love your Easter decorations. I don't decorate for Easter. I have serious storage issues... none. So, I don't buy a lot of seasonal decorations but I so wish I could.
How adorable! You are so talented! I like all the pretty colors for spring and Easter.
Usually, I try to decorate for all the holidays, but I lack the motivation when hubby is out to sea. When he's home, I go all out!
Super cute stuff! Love the pics. You always have such great decor! Happy Easter!
Love it! I love all the bunnies and chicks! The salt and pepper sharkers are awesome!
Ooh, you've got so much cute stuff up. I love the glittery ones best :o ) Are those plastic eggs you used for the wreath? That's why you hate it, ya know.
I never decorate for Easter. I'm a loser!
Justine :o )
Love, love, LOVE all the Easter decorations. I don't usually decorate for anhy holiday because I live alone so there wouldn't be anyone else t5o enjoy it. My puppies don't care if I fix the place up all purty or not.
I love your blog. I have added it to my favorites. I think you are adorable and I love your recipes, your decorating ideas, just everything about your blog! :)
