Peppermint wreath tutorial

This is the easiest project in the world. All you need are 2-3 bags of peppermints, a hot glue gun, and a wreath. I prefer to use the wooden wreaths, and the only place I've been able to find these are the Dollar Store. If you can't find those, I suppose a straw wreath would work just fine. The whole project cost me $4.00.

Just like the topiaries, you want to work in rows. Here's my first row:

The front of the wreath, completed:

With my first wreath, I covered the entire back of the wreath in peppermints. With this one, I decided to stop once all the sides and inside was covered.

I didn't get pics of the next step, but you will need to seal the wreath. I used sealant spray. You'll want to do several coats because the peppermints can be quite sticky. No pics of the final project (I stink at tutorials!) but you here's a pic of the first one I did.

I really wanted to do some gumdrop trees and topiaries this season but I could not find gumdrops anywhere! Aren't these cute? I found a great tutorial here.
When I was going through my pictures folder, I found pics of my glitter ornaments. Aren't these pretty? I love glitter! I just coated plain oraments with mod-podge, glittered, and then did another coat of mod-podge and glitter once the first coat was dried. I sprayed these with sealant as well. So sparkly!

I couldn't resist sharing this pic of JC. Here he is, in his christmas elf costume. So cute!

What a great idea. I made a peppermint tree one year using a styrofoam cone, it lasted for years. I need to give this a try.

I love the peppermint wreath...so cute! I bought gum drops last year for gingerbread houses, I think I found them at dollar general or at the grocery in the cheap cellophane bagged candy section...what fun projects!

Because you are quickly becoming one of my favourite blogs, and because I want to make one of those danged wreaths in the worst way, I'll share with you the reason my hubby won't let me near a glue gun. Or even Elmer's school glue!

Yeah, it kinda sucks to be me sometimes. Just the same, it's probably a good thing that I enjoy your peppermint wreath in a virtual sort of way. *lol*

So so cute! Great tutorial...I could totally go and make any of those...now, if I could only find the time! Time where are you? (Picture Cindy Lou Who singing "Where are you Christmas"...only substitute Christmas for Time.) I'm a complete dork.
