My Favorite Things!

Thrifty Decor Chick is hosting a "My Favorite Things" party, and I'm joining in on the fun! If you would like to participate, simply post a blog full of your favorite things - gifts, clothes, shoes, home decor, food, recipes, etc. Link your post here, and then go and visit other participants to check out their favorite things! So much fun, and if I know me, I'm going to pick up some new favorite things along the way, because that's how I roll. I'm very susceptible to peer pressure in that way. I'm not the girl you want to go shopping with if you're on a budget.

"Andrea, should I buy this? I'm just not sure if I really need these leopard print flats..."
"Yes, you do! Leopard print never goes out of style! And they are only $25! Do it!"

Speaking of leopard print flats, let's move on to my #1 Favorite Thing: Tarjay! Target is fabulousity. I love, love, love everything about this store. Sexy shoes? Check. Fabulous bedding? Check. Little black dress for Christmas? Check. Trendy purse? Check. My next two favorite things can also be found at Target:
#2 - Dr. Bronner's Pure Castile Soaps are amazing! The peppermint soap is my personal favorite. I use it as a body wash, but you can also use it as a hand soap, shampoo, and multi-purpose cleaner. When I have a light cleaning job, I mix a little castile soap and water, wipe down my floors or counters, and feel good about using a all natural product instead of a possible toxic cleaner. A little goes a long way - the largest size lasts me for a couple of months of daily use.

#3 - Bathery shower poofs and exfoliating cloths are simply the best! I'm very picky about my shower poof. I hate a thin, stingy poof. I also hate super thick poofs that produce only a tiny amount of lather. I like my poof to be thick, yet loose if that makes sense. This one is the best - the poof is a little abrasive, yet thick and gentle, so you are getting exfoliated each day that you use it. The exfoliating cloth is also the bomb - it is very long, so you can wrap it around your body and get your entire back in one swoop. It's great for use before shaving or self-tanning.

My #4 favorite thing is Bath & Body Works Twisted Peppermint lotion. Don't try this if you don't like a tingling feeling. It is extremely invigorating, and I credit the Dr. Bronner's peppermint soap and this lotion with getting me up and going in the mornings. You will feel ice cold, in a good way!
I've posted about this before, but my #5 favorite thing is the Queen Helene Mint Julep Mask. You can find this at almost any drugstore, Target, Walmart, or Sally's. I really credit weekly use of this mask with keeping my skin clear. It is super cheap - I think the size you see below is less than $3.00.

Have I mentioned that I love toile? Because I do, as evidence my the bolt of toile fabric that threw up in my old bedroom.
I also love and appreciate a good view. The first picture was taken as I was driving through Mount Ranier in Washington. How blue is that sky? That day was breathtaking. The second picture is the Charleston marsh, where I now live.

My final favorite thing is my chihuahua, JC. Did you know he talks? He totally does. Check him out!

I love Target and Dr. Bronner's Soaps too! And your pup is too cute! My papillion used to do similar "talking" when he was younger but it wasn't on command. What a cutie!

How much do I love the Castille Soap?! And NOW that they have it at Target I'm in heaven. I no longer have to go to Trader Joe's unless I wanna. Which, if I'm going to be honest, is another one of those places where I go in for one thing and come out with...you know. EVERYTHING.

My Photo
Hi, I'm Andrea, and welcome to my blog! I am a 31 year old sassy southern momma to a beautiful baby boy. I'm also a social worker, and my husband is a submariner in the US Navy. I have two very loved and spoiled chihuahuas, who are featured frequently in this blog. In case you are wondering - no, they don't bite! I got the inspiration for the name of my blog from an OPI nail polish called My Chihuahua Bites. Please check back often and be sure to leave a comment so that I can visit your blog as well. Thanks for visiting!
