Whew! Busy week

This week I've been running around like a crazy person, trying to do a million things in a very short period of time. My cousin was in town this weekend, so I've been cleaning and organizing like a mad woman. I didn't have much time to spare after working 10 hour days! Then I got sick in the middle of the week, which made even the smallest task take 10x longer and be 10x more difficult. I'm just glad the week is over... and now it is time to do it all over again.

My parents are coming to visit next week, and I'm trying to coerce my brother into bringing the kids to Charleston for Cypress Garden's Haunted Swamp event. Remember my post about Cypress Gardens? If not, click here. It is breathtakingly beautiful during the day, and sure to be spooky and super scary at night. I'm excited about seeing the family, but stressed about getting my house in order. It isn't that my house is a mess, but who doesn't want every little nooky and cranny spotless when you have company... particularly company with an eagle eye, like my mother.

Last weekend, Jason and I carved our Halloween pumpkins! This was very exciting for me. Do you know I've never carved a pumpkin? Not that I did this year... I just watched while Jason did all the work. Still, it turned out great! Thanks, husband!



Sadly, we had to throw away one of the pumpkin today because of mold. Next year I may just buy the foam carveable pumpkins so that we can keep them more than a few weeks. Has anyone ever used those?

I know you all are wondering - why does he have on Christmas pj pants? My husband is an equal opportunity holiday lover. It's Christmas year round in this House-hold.
